The Egyptian God and miseducation

Egyptian Godhead

The Egyptian God and Godhead is one of many misunderstood concepts within the ancient Egyptian spiritual system.

The only reason you would believe in competing theologies in ancient Egypt is you have two biases.

  1. ancient means primitive (ignorant)
  2. The ancient didn't know anything we don't know.

The ancient Khemetian (pre-dynastic Egypt) spiritual system has been one of the most misunderstood systems in the world. Much of it was due to ignorance.

The belief that ancient peoples were primitive and incapable of sophisticated ideologies and theologies has been pervasive worldwide.

Even today, with much information available at the touch of a fingertip, the belief among most is the ancient Khemites believed in many gods is still a major hold on the consciousness of humanity.

Another reason was the arrogance of dismissive western and European Egyptologist and their prejudices. Their assumptions about Khemetian spiritual practices have been accepted by most people around the world consciously and subconsciously.

The belief that Africans were primitive and incapable of sophisticated ideologies and theologies has been pervasive worldwide.

Even today, with much information available at the touch of a fingertip, the belief among most is the ancient Khemites believed in many gods is still a major hold on the consciousness of humanity.

Please hear me on this, The Khemetian/Egyptian cosmology is an elegant philosophy based on organized, systematic, consistent, and coherent principles. Don’t believe the hype that Africans were incapable of sophisticated thought. The Abrahamic religions owe their foundations to Africans.

What did the ancients believe?

A Khemetic principle is everything in the universe came from one source.  The only way to know of the source is by the effects it produces. In other words, the source is unknowable but we know it exists because of the effect it has produced. That effect is the universe and everything in it.

Since everything is an effect from the source then it is symbolic of some aspect of the source. This idea is the foundation of khemetic ideology and theology.

Without the understanding of this principle, everything is interpreted from a western ideological perspective. That would be in error as the khemetic paradigm is totally different from the west. Once understood it is an empowering source of knowledge that is the opposite of Christian dogma that attempts to confine and control.

What we in the west term gods is not the same idea the Khemetians had. Our understanding of God is that “He” is simply a big human being in the sky somewhere “out there.” In contrast, the Khemetic idea was not human at all.

The myths did anthropomorphize (or give human qualities) to the NTRS for the purpose of connecting the unknown to the known in order to understand the principles. In other words, what we know as Egyptian gods are simply analogies for the benefit of understanding NaTuRe and its foundational principles at a deeper level.

The Khemetians knew students and learners could only grasp an idea by comparing or contrasting it to what they know. As an educator, for many years, I taught students in the same way. I had to connect a concept I wanted them to learn to knowledge they were already familiar with.

As the concepts of the NTRS passed into the knowledge base of the masses through the Greeks were misinterpreted and misunderstood. Through many erroneous assumptions early Egyptologist assumed the Africans had a primitive thought process and interpreted they NTRS as worshiping gods. Hence the idea that the Khemetians worshiped many gods.

You must not fall prey to these assumptions based in a time when racism and prejudice towards Africans was at its height. Modern Egyptology began in 1798. It was a time in which the African slave trade was at its zenith.

NTRS do not think or act consciously, they are not big people in the sky. They are “Universal laws” that do not have the ability of themselves to modify the orientation of their behavior. They permeate nature and we can consciously act on them. This is in complete contrast to the Christian God that is vengeful, in need of worship due to fits of jealousy.

Three level of Neters

MetaUniversal Neters are outside of the physical and non-physical world. They permeate all of creation. They are principles of creation often represented with no navels and not engendered.

examples Atum, Ra and Ptah

Metaphysical Neters are the laws of spirit and nature. These laws are what permeate physical and metaphysical creation.

Ausar (Osiris), Auset (Isis), Set, Nephtys , Heru (Horus)

Natural Neters are those that are about nature and the natural world

Hapi for the Nile at inundation (flood), Selkit for Childbearing, Apet for gestation etc.

The fallacy that has been taught is that Amen, Ra and Ptah were three competing theologies. That is false! It is a misunderstanding of how the Khemetians viewed the Godhead or divine nature of The All.

They are three functions of the same thing acknowledged in their different states within creation. This would be analogous to a person that is a father, doctor, and a little league football coach. They are all the same person but serving in three different functions. So goes the trinity of Amen/Ra/Ptah. They are not competing theologies but a clarification of the Godhead and its functions by the Khemetians.

Conclusion

NTRU are not Gods but principles of nature originally misunderstood by Egyptologist

The Khemetians were monotheistic, they believed in one ultimate NeTeR that was unknowable and unnamed.

In order to truly understand Khemetian society you must view it through analogy, symbolism and metaphor.

The Khemetian/Egyptian cosmology is an elegant philosophy based on organized, systematic, consistent, and coherent principles.
